Ch. Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

OATH MAKING

Mr Walayat Shah Khagga from PP-220 made oath as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.

ELECTION OF SPEAKER AND DEPUTY SPEAKER

The House elected Rana Muhammad Iqbal (PP-184) as unopposed Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.

After making oath, Mr Speaker assumed the chair and conducted the Election of Deputy Speaker.

Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan was also elected as unopposed Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and made oath as such.

Parliamentary Leaders of parties and other Members congratulated Rana Muhammad Iqbal and Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan on assuming the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.
