      THE PUNJAB PENSION FUND (AMENDMENT) BILL 2008 (Bill No.4 of 2008)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Pension Fund (Amendment) Bill 2008, as recommended by Special Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Pension Fund (Amendment) Bill 2008 be passed.

Acting Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Noor Muhammad, followed by Na’at-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) presented by Ghulam Haider.

QUESTIONS HOUR: −

Questions relating to Home department were asked and answers were given by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-

Three Privilege Motions were taken up. The Privilege Motion moved by Ch Abdullah Yousaf regarding annual report of Medical and Health Institutions was answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and was pended till next session. Privilege Motion moved by Rai Muhammad Shah Jahan Khan regarding misconduct of SP Layalpur town Faisalabad was answered by Minister for Law and was pended till Monday. Privilege Motion moved by Mrs. Rifat Sultana Dar regarding misconduct of DG FDA Raja Safdar Hussain was answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and was pended till Tuesday.

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up out of which one Adjournment Motion moved by Mrs. Anjum Safdar regarding the negligence of doctors and staff of Civil Hospital Gujranwala was answered by Minister for Law and was disposed of. Out of five adjournment motions of Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, one regarding incomplete installation of water purification plants in Punjab, was answered by Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs that the work of installation of purification plants is being undertaken by the Government. The motion, as no pressed, was disposed of.

 

The motion regarding illegal peter engine vehicle being used for transporting bricks without any safety precautions, motion about snatching of cars in Punjab and smuggling them to Afghanistan, motion regarding selling of property by Liquidation Board, motion regarding illegal FIR against the administrator of Free Health Club by the administration of Cosmopolitan Club were answered by Minister for Law and were kept pending.

Two adjournment motions were moved by Mrs. Zobia Rubab Malik. One adjournment motion about arresting the accused of murdering young citizen, second motion about DSP Noshera circle supporting the accused person involved in kidnapping daughter of Rashida Bibi of Khushab were answered by Minister for Law and disposed of.   

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan, moved The Punjab Pension Fund (Amendment) Bill 2008 (Bill no.4 of 2008)  as recommended by the Special Committee. After clause by clause consideration, the Bill was passed.

The House was then adjourned till 3.30 pm, Monday, 11 August, 2008.
