Speaker Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an followed by its Urdu translation by Qari Sadaqat Ali. Muhammad Afzal Noshai presented Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Questions Hour: −

Questions relating to Local Government and Community Development Departments were asked and Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan answered the questions.

Privilege Motions:-

Six Privilege motions were taken up. The motion moved by Lt. Col (R) Muhammad Shabbir Awan regarding misbehavior of CPO Rawalpindi was referred to the Special Committee. Motion moved by Mr. Sardar Shehzad Rasool Khan regarding misconduct of DDO(R) Tehsil Ali Pur District Muzzafargar, Wajid Shah was pended till tomorrow as the mover was not present and motion moved by Mr.   Malik Muhammad Javed Iqbal Awan regarding misbehavior of D.O Agriculture, Munawar Hussain Bhukhari was pended till tomorrow. Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari regarding misbehavior of DCO Dera Ghazi Khan, Captain Asadullah Khan was referred to the Special Committee. Motion moved by Ch. Muhammad Tariq Gujjar regarding misbehavior of Additional registrar Punjab University Gugranwala Campus, Ahmad Ali Chattah was pended for two days. Motion moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding misbehavior of Additional I.G Fiaz Mir was disposed of. These motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan.

Adjournment Motions:-

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. Adjournment motion moved by Ms.   Anjum Safdar regarding dumping wastes at suburbs of Faisalabad by Solid Waste Management was disposed off as the mover was not present.

Three Adjournment motions were moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding newspaper report of fake applications of the Food Support Programme in Punjab, other regarding newspaper report of interference by the bureaucracy in development programmes of Punjab Irrigation Authority and last motion regarding newspaper report of protest of Young Doctors Association for their demands were disposed of as the mover was absent.

Adjournment motion moved by Ms. Raheela Khadim Hussain regarding newspaper report of corruption of wheat in connivance with Food Department administration and Police was disposed of as the mover was absent.

Adjournment motion moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding wasting lot of money in 90 departments which are established just to obliging people was disposed of.

 These motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan laid the PUNJAB LAND REVENUE (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2008 (XI OF 2008, which was referred to the Special Committee to submit its report within a week.

Then, the House was adjourned till 10:00 am, Thursday, 20^th November, 2008.
