Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (P.B.U.H.) by Mr. Abid Rauf Qadri .

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Home Department were asked and Rana SanaullahKhan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs answered the questions

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs introduced “The Punjab Power Development Board Bill 2010 (Bill No. 8 of 2010)”, which was referred to the Standing Committee on Irrigation and Power for submitting its report by 28 February, 2010.

Laying of reports:-

Mr Tahir Ahmed Sindhu laid the report of “The Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2010 (Bill No.6 of 2010)” of the Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development before the House.

CONTINUATION OF PRE-BUDGET DISCUSSION:-

Pre-budget discussion continued. Only Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mehmood was able to participate in the discussion. The pre-budget discussion was pended till Wednesday.

The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm on Monday, February 1st, 2010.
