Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings of the House commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Khushi Muhammad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Sarwar Naqshbandi.

Presentation of Report:-

Ms. Asifa Farooqi presented the report of Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation before The House on the following;

1.         The Punjab Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Bill 2010 (Bill No. 5 of 2010) and

2.         Adjournment Motion No. 308/09 moved by Sheikh ala-ud-Din, MPA (PP-181)

Extension in Time Limit for Laying of the Reports:-

Malik Muhammad Waris Kalu moved that extension in time limit be granted for laying the reports of the Committee on Privileges on Motions No. 6, 35, 49 and 51 of year 2008, Motions No. 19, 23, 25, 28, 31, 42, 48, 49, 50, 51, 55, 57, and 60 of year 2009 and Motions No. 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 19 of year 2010. The House granted the extension up to 30^th September, 2010.

Ch. Javed Ahmad moved that extension in time limit be granted for laying the reports of the Standing Committee on Education on the Starred Question No. 279 asked by Ms. Arifa Khalid Pervez, MPA (W. 305). The House granted the extension up to 30^th September, 2010.
