Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Noor Muhammad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Sarwar Naqshbandi.

Privilege Motion:-

Only one privilege motion was taken up. The motion moved by Mr. Abdul Waheed Chaudhry regarding placing irrelevant and fake news about the concerned member by Chairman Intermediate & Secondary Board, Multan, in the newspaper, was pended till Thursday. 

The motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan.  

Government Business:-

Mr. Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Minister for Finance, moved for consideration and passage of The Finance Bill 2010 (Bill No. 15 of 2010), which was passed by the House.

Minister for Finance laid the Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2010-2011.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid The Punjab Industrial Relations Ordinance 2010 (Ordinance No.1I of 2010), which was referred to the Standing Committee on Labour to submit its report up to 31 July 2010.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid The Institution of Southern Punjab, Multan Bill 2010 (Bill No.16 of 2010), which was referred to the Standing Committee on Education to submit its report up to 31 July 2010.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid The Lahore Leads University Bill 2010 (Bill No.17 of 2010), which was referred to the Standing Committee on Education to submit its report up to 31 July 2010.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid The Global Institution Lahore Bill 2010 (Bill No.18 of 2010), which was referred to the Standing Committee on Education to submit its report up to 31 July 2010.

Then, the House was adjourned till 10.00 am on Wednesday 23 June, 2010.
