Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Abdul Ghafar Shakir followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Akhtar Noshahi.


Privilege Motions:-

Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding misbehavior of Abdullah Ali Yousaf, SHO Factory Area, was pended till tomorrow and the other motion moved by Mr. Abdul Waheed Chaudhry regarding publishing irrelevant and fake news about the member concerned by Chairman Intermediate & Secondary Board, Multan, was referred to the Standing Committee on Privileges.

The motions were answered by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.


Adjournment Motions:-

Thirteen Adjournment motions were taken up.

The motion moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding Newspaper Report About offering tenders without bringing into meeting of Committees for Development Schemes of Kachi Abadis at District levels was disposed of as the mover was absent.

Two motions moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding news about demolishing various houses at 43 N.B Gunianwala, District Sargodha by the Housing Department and motion regarding newspaper report about ignoring seniority list and giving shoulder promotions to different officers in police department were disposed of.

Five motions were moved by Mrs. Nighat Nasir Sheikh regarding giving land of National Park on lease by PHA, Lahore, motion regarding newspaper report about spreading disease by impure commodities in the province, motion regarding newspaper report regarding not establishing department for mouth and jaws surgery at various hospitals in the province, motion regarding not having hospitals in the province for dog biting disease, motion regarding newspaper report about death of Physiotherapist at Social Security Hospital by Swine flu were disposed of as the mover was not present.

 

The motion moved by Dr. Samia Amjad regarding vacant posts of Vascular at different government hospitals was answered by Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Health (holding additional charge) and was pended till next session.

 

The motion moved by Ch. Irfan-ud-Din regarding ignoring three years diploma holders for recruitment as drawing master was disposed of as the mover was not present.

Two motions moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding non-availability of Pure fresh drinking water at Government Chuburgi Quarters was answered by Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Health (holding additional charge) and was disposed of and other motion regarding broken patch of Multan road from Mangamandi to Maraka was answered by Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for C&w (holding additional charge) and was pended till next session.

 

The motion moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding women caught in prosecution from various hotels and guest houses in Lahore and from other cities and other motion regarding were pended till next session.

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.


Government Business:-

Discussion and Voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants for the Year 2009-10.

The House passed 39 Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2009-10.

Laying of the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the Year 2009-10.

Minister for Finance laid the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2009-10.
