Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Muhammad Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Akhtar Hussain Qurashi.

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Agriculture Department were asked and Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh , Minister for Agriculture answered the questions.

Privilege Motions:-

Three Privilege motions were taken up. Motion moved by Mrs.‏ Samina Khawar Hayat regarding misbehavior of Abdullah Ali Yousaf, SHO Factory Area, Lahore was referred to the Standing Committee on Privileges, motion moved by Lt. Col (R) Muhammad Shabbir Awan regarding fictitious FIR against the concerned member was pended till tomorrow and last motion moved by Ch. Tahir Mehmood Hundli, Advocate, regarding misbehavior of Dr. Abdul Majid, Director General (Medical Training) Social Security Lahore was disposed of as the mover was not present.

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ali Noor Haider Naizi regarding newspaper report about failure of previous government’s program known as “Parha Likha Punjab” was disposed of as the mover was absent, motion moved by Dr. Samia Amjad regarding vacant posts of Vascular at different government hospitals, motion moved by Mrs.‏ Samina Khawar Hayat regarding broken patch of Multan Road from Mangamandi to Maraka, motion moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din regarding women caught in prostitution from various hotels and guest houses in Lahore and from other cities were disposed of and two motions moved by Mrs. Nighat Nasir Sheikh regarding newspaper report about different useless inventories at ware-house, District Kachahri, was pended till for two days and other motion regarding newspaper report about fake saint who killed a person by giving him poisonous injection was disposed of.

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Mrs. Seemal Kamran introduced the following Bill:

“THE IN-HOUSE WORKING WOMEN PROTECTION BILL 2010
(Bill No. 12 of 2010”

The Bill was unanimously referred to the Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource for submitting its report by 15^th August 2010.

Resolutions on Matters of General Public Interest:-

1.         The resolution moved by Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari demanding government to reserve quota for children from the tribal area in medical college being established in DG Khan was unanimously passed by the House.

2.         The resolution of Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding reserving 10 percent quota for female on public sector jobs was pended for next Private Members’ Day.

3.         The resolution moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat demanding Federal Government to celebrate 20 Jamadi-ul- Awal, the birthday of Hazrat Fatima-tu-Zahra, an ideal daughter, excellent wife and kind mother as “Women Day” was unanimously passed by the House.

4.         The resolution of Mrs.‏ Samina Naveed demanding from Punjab government to waving of condition of “B form” for admission in 9^th class, was disposed of as the mover was absent.

The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
