1.   MOTION UNDER RULE 244-A OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB 1997

 

            A MINISTER to move that leave be granted to move the proposed amendment in sub-rule (1) of Rule 148 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997.

            A MINISTER to move that the proposed amendment in sub-rule (1) of Rule 148 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the proposed amendment in sub-rule (1) of Rule 148 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 be passed.

 
            Note:    The proposed amendment is given in the Annexure.
 

2.   THE PUNJAB URBAN IMMOVABLE PROPERTY TAX (AMENDMENT) BILL 2010 (Bill No. 5 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Excise & Taxation, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Urban Immovable Property Tax (Amendment) Bill 2010 be passed.

 

3.   THE KING EDWARD MEDICAL UNIVERSITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2010 (Bill No. 11 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the King Edward Medical University (Amendment) Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Health, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the King Edward Medical University (Amendment) Bill 2010 be passed.

 

4.   THE PUNJAB LAND REVENUE (AMENDMENT) BILL 2010 (Bill No. 9 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Revenue, Relief and Consolidation be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2010 be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Noor Muhammad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Abid Rauf Qadri.

Questions relating to Higher Education Department were asked and Mian Mujtuba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Higher Education (holding additional charge) answered the questions.


Laying of Reports:-

1.        Sheikh Ala ud Din presented the report of Standing Committee on Industries in respect of The Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Bill 2010 (Bill No. 7 of 2010) before the House.  

The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Thursday, July 8, 2010.
