A MINISTER to move that the Sasti Roti Authority Bill 2009, as recommended by Standing Committee on Industries, be taken into consideration at once.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Muhammad Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani
Question Hour: −
Questions relating to Communication and Works Department were asked and Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Zakat and Ushr (holding additional charge) answered the questions.
Condolence:-
The House offered fateha on the assassination of Habib Jalib, Ex-Senator, Central Secretary General of Baloch National Party (
Call Attention Notice:-
Only one Call Attention Notice was taken up. The Notice of Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding newspaper report about Dr. Azmat, resident of Lahore, who was assassinated by dacoits near Revenue Society.
The Notice was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions:-
Five adjournment motions were taken up. Motion moved by Mr. Malik Muhammad Javed Iqbal regarding not starting civil works at Government Girls Degree College, Nowshera, three motions moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik one regarding newspaper report about 50 percent increase in rates of the houses allotted to the retired government officials, motion regarding newspaper report about deaths of two persons, one 18-year old Salma Bibi, resident of Harbanspura and other resident of Nishter Colony, motion regarding newspaper report about the selling of juice in Lahore being extracted from animals feed, were pended till next week. Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Jamil Shah regarding the allotment numbers, for the Numberdars, was disposed of as the mover was absent.
The motions were answered by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On the Motion moved by Ms. Sajida Mir, the House granted extension upto one month to the Standing Committee on Health for laying the reports on “The Punjab Healthcare Bill, 2009 (Bill No. 31 of 2009)” and “Adjournment Motion No. 1038 of 2008 moved by Sheikh Ala ud Din, MPA (PP-181)”.

Mrs. Ayehsa Javed presented before the House the reports of Standing Committee on Education on “The Institution of Southern Punjab, Multan Bill 2010 (Bill No. 16 of 2010)” and
“The Lahore Leads University Bill 2010 (Bill No. 17 of 2010)”

General discussion took place on the Adjournment Motion moved on 13-7-10 regarding having no check and balance on NGOs working in Punjab. The following members participated in the discussion: Sheikh Ala ud Din, Ms. Fouzia Behram, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Mrs. Nighat Nasir Sheikh, Mr. Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Mr.Muhammad Yasin Sohl, Mian Muhammad Rafique and Syed Hassan Murtaza.
Then, the House was adjourned till 9:00 am on Friday, July 16, 2010.
