Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Majid followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mian Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani.

 

Fateha:-

 

The House offered fateha on the sad demise of father of Ch, Liaqat Ali Khan, Ex-MPA.

 

Question Hour: −

 

Questions relating to Cooperatives Department were asked and Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Minister for Cooperatives (holding additional charge) answered the questions.

 

Call Attention Notices:-

 

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik about bus dacoity coming from Hujra Shah Muqeem to Lahore and other Call Attention Notice of Ch. Zaheer-ud-Din regarding blasts and suicide attacks occurred at Karbala Gamay Shah and Bhati Gate were disposed of due to the movers were absent.

 

Privilege Motion:

 

Two Privilege Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Rana Muhammad Arshad regarding misbehavior of Mr. Shoaib, DSP, Shahkot and other motion moved by Ch. Muhammad Awais Aslam Madhana regarding misbehavior of Awais Gujjar, SHO, Police Station Midh Ranjha were kept pending as movers were not present.

 

Adjournment Motions:-

 

Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. Three Motions were moved by Shaikh Allaud Din one regarding Saint Danish Girls High school, Kashmir Point, Murree, which was closed for setting on fire twice was disposed of, motion regarding promotion of tap water instead of plastic water bottle was kept pending till next week and the motion regarding growth of forestation in the province of Punjab to get rid of excess flood water was kept pending till next sitting. Motion moved by Mian Muhammad Azam Chaila regarding shortage of water in RangPur Canal, district, Jhang and motion moved by Mrs.‏ Khadija Umar regarding prevention of various development Schemes in education sector because of shortage of funds were disposed of as the movers were not present. Motion moved by Seemal Kamran regarding steeling of foot marks of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) from Badshahi Mosque, motion moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding water corruption of Mr. Akbar Doggar, irrigation Patwari, Chak umar Skha Ladokha, district Depalpur, and motion moved by Mr. Sher Ali Khan about non computerization of record of the emergency patients were disposed of.   

 

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Report:-

 

On the Motion moved by Malik Fiaz Ahmed, the House granted extension up to 30th November, 2010 to Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource for laying its report on “The Punjab Industrial Relation Bill 2010 (Bill No. 18 of 2010)”.

 

Laying of Reports:-

 

Mr. Pervez Rafique presented before the House the reports of Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs in respect of “Motion to amend the Rules of Procedures of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 under Rule 244-A of the Said Rules” and

 

Mr. Shah Rukh Malik presented before the House the reports of Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs in respect of “Adjournment Motion No.117/09 by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, MPA (PP-181)”.

 

Government Business:

 

General Discussion on Relief and Rehabilitation of Flood-Affectees To Continue:-

 

The House resumed general discussion on second day on Relief and Rehabilitation of flood-affectees. Following members participated in the discussion: Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik, Tahir Ahmed Sindhu, Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Sardar Malik Jehanzeb Warn, Mehr Ijaz Ahmad Achlana, Sardar Sher Ali Khan Gorchani, Ch. Ali Asghar Manda, Ms. Sakina Shaheen Khan, Ms. Sajida Mir, Dr. Faiza Asghar, Dr. Zamurad Yasmin Rana and Ms. Rifat Sultana Dar,

 

The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Friday, October 8, 2010.
