1.   AMENDMENT IN THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB 1997

 

            A MINISTER to move that the proposed amendment in the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, regarding pre-budget discussion, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the proposed amendment be passed.

 

 

2.   CONTINUATION AND CONCLUSION OF GENERAL DISCUSSION ON RELIEF AND REHABILITATION OF FLOOD-AFFECTEES

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Majid followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mian Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani.

 

Question Hour: −

 

Questions relating to Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department were asked and Mr. Zafar Iqbal Nagra , Parliamentary Secretary for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering, answered the questions.

 

Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-

 

On the Motion moved by Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani, the House granted extension up to one year to Public Accounts Committee No.II for laying its report of Auditor General of the Pakistan of the year 2003-04.

 

On the Motion moved by Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, the House granted extension up to 31st December, 2010 to Special Committee for laying its report of “Motion No. 92 for the year 2010, moved by Syed Hassan Murtaza”.

 

Call Attention Notices:-

 

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. One moved by Mrs. Ayehsa Javed regarding newspaper report about killing of Vikram Maseh, resident of Youhanabad, Nishter Town, Lahore, by dacoits and other Notice of Hafiz Muhammad Qamar Hayat Kathiya regarding Imran, who married by Shazia and was later, involved in fake FIR by her relatives.

 

The Notices were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.   

 

Privilege Motion:

 

Four Privilege Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Rana Muhammad Arshad regarding misbehavior of Mr. Shoaib, DSP Shahkot, was referred to the Privilege Committee, motion moved by Ch. Muhammad Awais Aslam Madhana regarding misbehavior of Awais Gujjar, SHO Midh Ranjha, was kept pending till Thursday, motion moved by Mr. Najaf Abbas Khan Sial regarding misbehavior of Medical Superintendent, Services Hospital, was disposed of and last motion moved by Muhammad Hafeez Akhtar Ch regarding exceeding authority by Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, was kept pending till next session.

 

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Adjournment Motions:-

 

Twelve Adjournment Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Ms. Rifat Sultana Dar regarding negligence of Doctor Azam Majeed, Azam Majeed Medical Complex, was kept pending till tomorrow.

 

 

Three motions moved by Shaikh Allaud Din oneregarding promoting tap water instead of plastic water bottle, motion regarding growing forest plants in the province were kept pending till next week and his last motion regarding not having check and balance in police department on the recruitment officials was kept pending till tomorrow, Motion moved by Ms. Fozia Behram regarding birds and animals, which are caught and sold in Punjab for spiritual devotion, was kept pending till next week.

 

Four Motions moved by Mrs.‏ Nighat Nasir Sheikh one regarding newspaper report about closing down of PCR machines at Mayo Hospital, motion regarding newspaper report about closing down gate of Mayo hospital were disposed of, motion regarding newspaper report about 250 kg of contaminated meat caught from butcher and last motion regarding transport companies working in Lahore, who are not giving proper services to the masses, were kept pending till next week.

 

 

Two motions moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti one regarding not changing filters of water plants installed at Burewala city, was kept pending till next week and other motion regarding not having medical specialist at THQ Hospital, Burewala, was disposed of, motion moved by Ms. Anjum Safdar regarding not installing waste water treatment plant at Magna Textile Mills, Faisalabad, was kept pending till next week.

 

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and then the House was adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
