1.   THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2010 (Bill No. 21 of 2010)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2010 be passed.

 

2.   CONTINUATION AND CONCLUSION OF GENERAL DISCUSSION ON PRICE HIKE OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Syed Sadaqat Ali followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mr. Akhtar Hussain Qurashi.

 

Question Hour: −

 

Questions relating to Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Department were asked and Peer Muhammad Ashraf Rasool, Parliamentary Secretary for Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries answered the questions.

 

Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-

 

On the Motion moved by Walayat Shah, the House granted extension up to one month to Standing Committee on Agriculture for laying its report on “Starred Question  No. 1749* asked by Mr. Muhammad Hafeez Akhtar Chaudhary, MPA (PP-223)”.

 

On the Motion moved by Mr. Munawar Ahmed Gill, the House granted extension up to one month to Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering for laying its reports on “Questions No. 1619 and 2211 moved by Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan MPA (PP-66)”.

 

Call Attention Notices:-

 

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Ms. Sajida Mir regarding newspaper report about killing of Shamshad, resident of Lona Park, Sheikupura by the dacoits and other Call Attention Notice of Mian Muhammad Naveed Anjum regarding newspaper report about killing of father and son in Lahore in a result of dacoity, were disposed of.

 

The Notices were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Privilege Motion:

 

 Three Privilege Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding misbehavior of Mr. Shahid Lak, DDOR, Burewala, motion moved by Mrs. Samina Naveed regarding lack of telephonic response by Secretary

 

Schools to the member concerned were reffered to the Privilge Committee and motion moved by Syed Hassan Murtaza regarding misbehavior of Adnan Gillani, SSM, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, was disposed of as the mover was not present.

 

The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Then, the House was adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.
