Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Noor Muhammad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Mian Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani.
Fateha:-
The House offered fateha on the sad demise of Governor of the Punjab, Mr. Salmaan Taseer and suspended its business to express grief over tragic killing of the Governor. The House paid rich tribute to him and said that he was a true democrat who always voiced for the right and played his role for strengthening the system.
The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm, Monday, 10 January, 2011.
