1. LAYING OF ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION FOR THE YEAR 2009
A MINISTER to lay the Annual Report of the Punjab Public Service Commission for the year 2009.
2. THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2010 (Bill No. 23 of 2010)
A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2010, as recommended by Standing Committee on Transport , be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2010 be passed.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation by Qari Sadaqat Ali followed by Nat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH) by Afzal Noshahi.
Resolution:-
After suspension of rules, Senior Minister, Raja Riaz Ahmed moved a Resolution strongly condemning assassination of Governor of the Punjab, Mr. Salman Taseer and paying homage for his services in political and social activities. The Resolution was unanimously passed by the House.

"صوبائی اسمبلی پنجاب کا یہ ایوان مورخہ 4۔جنوری2011 کو اسلام آباد میں سابق گورنر پنجاب جناب سلمان تاثیر کے بہیمانہ قتل پر اپنے گہرے رنج و غم کا اظہار کرتا ہے اور اس کی پُرزور مذمت
کرتا ہے۔ جناب سلمان تاثیر کی ناگہانی وفات سے صوبہ پنجاب نہ صرف ایک فعال سیاسی کارکن بلکہ ایک ہمدرد اور انسانیت دوست شخص سے بھی محروم ہوگیا ہے۔
جناب سلمان تاثیر 1988 میں اس ایوان کے رکن منتخب ہوئے تھے اور مئی 2008 سے پاکستان کے سب سے بڑے صوبے کے آئینی سربراہ کے طور پر خدمات سرانجام دے رہے تھے۔ ان کی سیاسی اور فلاحی خدمات ناقابل فراموش ہیں۔
یہ ایوان سابق گورنر پنجاب کے اہل خانہ کے غم میں برابر کا شریک ہے۔ یہ ایوان دُعاگو ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ مرحوم کے اہل خانہ کو یہ صدمہ برداشت کرنے کی ہمت دے۔ آمین۔"
Question Hour: −
Questions relating to Livestock and Dairy Development Department were asked and answered by Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Minister for Agriculture (holding additional charge).
Laying of Report:-
Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari presented the report of Special Committee before the House in respect of “The amendment in the Punjab Prohibition of Private Money Lending Act 2007 (VI of 2007)”.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On a Motion moved by Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan, the House granted extension to The Standing Committee on Education up to one month for laying its reports on “The Qarshi University Muridke Bill 2010 (Bill No. 24 of 2010) and Starred Question Nos. 3435*, 3436* and 2481*.
Fateha:-
The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of Major General (R) Naseer Ullah Babar former Governor and Interior Minister.
Call Attention Notices:-
Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice of Ms. Sajida Mir regarding assassination of wife and injuring her husband by dacoits at Nathaywala, Donga Bonga, District Bahawalnagar and other Call Attention Notice of Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana regarding dacoity at Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of 69 R.B village Ghasetpura, Thana Balochini, District Faisalabad were disposed of.
The Notices were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
Privilege Motion:
The Privilege Motion of Mr. Javed Allo-ud-Din Sajid regarding misbehavior of Mr Muhammad Irshad Sial, EDO Health, district Okara was kept pending till 11.1.2011.
The Motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions:-
Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. Four motions moved by Mrs. Nighat Nasir Sheikh, regarding delay in completion of Ravi National Park Project, the Motion regarding dilapidated condition of more than three hundred roads in Lahore, the Motion regarding lack of will to appoint Chairman of Punjab Text Book Board were disposed of while the Motion regarding amendment in the law to give severe punishment to Butchers who sell dead meat was kept pending till next week.
The Motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding supply of adulterated milk in Lahore from District Okara, the Motion moved by Dr. Samia Amjad regarding victimization of farmers at the hands of middle man in the sale of sugarcane, the Motion moved by Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Kahlon regarding sale of kidneys by poor people in Sargodha due to poverty were disposed of. The Motion moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding corruption in Cattle Market, Kharian was kept pending,
The motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs laid in the House Annual Report of “The Punjab Public Service Commission for The Year 2009”.
At this stage, quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
