Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Panel of Chairmen:-

The Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen for the session, as envisaged in Rule 13 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The names of the Panel, in order of precedence, are as under:-

1.   Dr. Asad Ashraf, MPA (PP-138)

2.   Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri , MPA (PP-154)

3.   Malik Ahmad Karim Qaswar Langrial , (PP-257)

4.   Dr.   Faiza Asghar , MPA (W-351)

Presentation of Annual Budget Statement for the Year 2011-12

Mr. Kamran Michael , Minister for Finance delivered his budget speech and presented the Annual Budget Statement for the year 2011-12.

Presentation of the Supplementary Budget Statement for the Year 2010-11

The Minister for Finance presented the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2010-11 and introduced the Finance Bill 2011 in the House.

As per schedule issued by the Assembly Secretariat, Six days were fixed for general discussion on the budget commencing June 13, 2011; On completion of the business of the day, the House was then adjourned to meet on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.
