Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Privilege Motions:-
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The motion of Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema for not laying Annual Report of “The Punjab Public Service Commission” for the year 2010 before the House was referred to Privilege Committee, motion of Seemal Kamran regarding not presenting of Recommendations of National Finance Commission report before the House was disposed of.
The Motions were answered by Minister for Zakat & Ushr, Malik Nadeem Kamran
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
General Discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2011-2012.
The general discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2011-2012 continued for the second day. The following participated in the discussion: Ch. Zaheer-ud-Din, Makhdoom Syed Ahmad Mehmood, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Ms. Azma Zahid Bukhari, Shaikh Allaud Din, Mrs. Amna Ulfat, Mr. Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti, Sardar Athar Hassan Khan Gorchani, Haji Zulfiqar Ali, Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik, Rai Muhammad Shahjahan Khan, and Muhammad Mueen Wattoo.
Laying of Report:-
Mrs. Shagufta Sheikh presented the report of Standing Committee on Social Welfare, Women Development & Bait-ul-Maal before the House in respect of “The Disabled persons (Employment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 26 of 2011) and The Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 27 of 2011)”.
Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan presented the report of Standing Committee on Law & Parliamentary Affairs before the House in respect of “The Powers of Attorney (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 14 of 2011), The Punjab Administrator General’s (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 15 of 2011), The Specific Relief (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 16 of 2011), The Official Trustees (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 17 of 2011), The Defamation (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 18 of 2011)”.
The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
