Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
General Discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2011-2012.
General discussion on Annual budget for the year 2011-2012 continued on the third day. The following members participated in the discussion: Maj(R) Zulfiqar Ali Gondal, Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, Mr. Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan Masti Khel, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana and Mr. Asif Manzoor Mohal.
Laying of Report:-
Ch. Ghulam Nabi presented the report of Standing Committee on Transport before the House in respect of “The West Pakistan Bus Stands and Traffic Control (Lahore) Ordinance, 1963 (Repeal) Bill 2011 (Bill No.34 of 2011)” and “The West Pakistan Bus Stands and Traffic Control (Gujranwala) Ordinance, 1963 (Repeal) Bill 2011 (Bill No.35 of 2011)”
Malik Fiaz Ahmed presented the report of Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource before the House in respect of “The Factories (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 30 of 2011)”, “The Minimum Wages (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No.31 of 2011)” and “The Road Transport Workers (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No.32 of 2011)”.
Dr. Asad Ashraf presented the report of Standing Committee on Health before the House in respect of “The Injured persons (Medical Aid) (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 12 of 2011)”, “The Punjab Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 13 of 2011)” and “The Punjab Protection of Breast-Feeding and Child Nutrition (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 33) of 2011)”.
Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu, presented the report of Standing Committee on Privileges before the House in respect of “ Privilege motions No. 60,62,63 and 64 for the year 2009, Privilege motions No.11, 20, 24,36 and 37 for the year 2010 and Privilege motions No.3 and 10 for the year 2011”.
The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Thursday, June 16, 2011.
