Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Deputy Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Privilege Motions:-
Only one Privilege Motion was taken up, which was moved by Mrs. Deeba Mirza regarding misbehavior of Dr. Zameer, Services Hospital with the member concern was referred to Privilege committee.
The Motion was answered by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-
General Discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2011-2012.
General discussion on Annual budget for the year 2011-2012 continued on the sixth day. Mr. Kamran Michael, Minister for Finance delivered Winding up speech in respect of Annual budget for the year 2011-2012. The following members participated in the discussion: Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna, Ch. Ali Asghar Manda, Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu, Mr. Pervez Rafique, Mrs. Sajida Mir, Mrs. Farah Deeba, Ms. Fozia Behram, Mr. Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gillani, Mrs. Khadija Umar, Mr. Shahan Malik, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Mrs. Neelam Jabbar Chaudhary, Malik Jalal-ud-Din Dhaku, Mrs. Tayyaba Zameer, Mr. Ali Haidar Noor Khan Niazi, Mr. Javed Hassan Gujjar, Ms. Nargis Awan, Makhdoom Muhammad Irtaza, Khawaja Muhammad Islam, Ch. Muhammad Shafique and Mrs. Rifat Sultana Dar, Ms. Asifa Farooqi.
Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-
On a Motion moved by Mr. Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti, the House granted extension up to one year to Public Accounts Committee-II for laying its reports on “Auditor General of Pakistan for the year 2007-08 and 2009-10”.
On a Motion moved by Mr. Javed Hassan Gujjar, the House granted extension up to 30th September, 2011 to Standing Committee on Privileges for laying its reports on “Privilege Motion No. 51 for the year 2008, Privilege Motions No. 23,28,31,42,50 and 57 for the year 2009, Privilege Motion No. 1,5,10and 38 for the year 2010, Privilege Motions No. 2,8,9,13,16,23,24,25,28,36,44,45,47,48 and 50 for the year 2011”.
On a Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, the House granted extension up to one year to Public Accounts Committee-I for laying its report on “Auditor General of Pakistan for the year 2008-09”.
The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
