            A MINISTER to move that the Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

2.   THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.51 of 2011)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Public Service Commission (Amendment) Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Services and General Administration, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Public Service Commission (Amendment) Bill 2011 be passed.

 

3.   THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.48 of 2011)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Transport, be taken into consideration at once.

4.   THE PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL PESTICIDES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.43 of 2011)

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

 

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Zakat & Ushar Department were asked and answered by Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Zakat & Ushar.

 

Call Attention Notices:-

Only one Call Attention Notice was taken up. Notice moved by Rana Tanveer Ahmad Nasir regarding newspaper report about killing of one person and injuring other by the dacoits at Ravi Bridge, Lahore was disposed of 

The Notice was answered by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Privilege Motions:-

Two Privilege Motions were taken up. Motion of Ms. Rifat Sultana Dar regarding misconduct of Police officer with the member concerned was referred to the Privilege Committee and other motion of Col (R) Naveed Iqbal Sajid regarding misbehavior of Arif Hameed, Managing Director, Sui Gas with the member concerned was kept pended.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

 

Adjournment Motions:-

Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up. Motion moved by Ch. Zaheer-ud-Din regarding tempering the official record and allotting 10 marlas and 170 sq.ft Government land to Muhammad Akram S/o Muhammad Jamil by Sameen Khan, Ex-Revenue Officer and Mr Irfan, Patwari, the motion of Ms. Azma Zahid Bukhari regarding deceiving innocent people at the hands of fake “Pirs” and “foretellers”, the motion moved by Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat regarding delay in the development of Tourist Resort project at Wagah Border, the motion moved by Shaikh Allaud Din regarding construction of illegal shops and encroachments on the land possessed by Railway Department thus disturbing smooth running of traffic in Lahore were kept pending till next week. The two motions were moved by Mrs. Nighat Sheikh, one about delay in the start of B.Sc Crime Studies classes at Police training Institute Sahala, second motion about wrong information provided in the syllabus books of students printed by Punjab Text Book Board for the classes from 1 to 10, two motions moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding non development work at Burewala city were disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

The House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Tuesday, January, 3, 2012.
