Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Revenue (Board of Revenue) and Colonies Departments were asked and answered by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs (holding addition charge).

Adjournment Motions:-

Four Adjournment Motions were taken up. Two motions moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, one regarding advertisement published  for only 6 vacancies about recruitment against 39 vacancies in Para Military Police Dera Ghazi Khan, which are lying vacant resulting in unemployment in the area, the other Motion regarding heavy borrowing by the Punjab Government from State Bank of Pakistan and mishandling of available funds, the Motion moved by Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti regarding detaining the locals of Kachi Abbadi residing near Vegetable Market in Tehsil Burawala by raising a wall around this abbadi by influential were kept pending till next week. While the motion moved by Ch Shoukat Mehmood Basra regarding delay in the disbursement of salaries to the employees working on the payroll of Government of the Punjab was disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

CONTINUATION OF THE GENERAL DISCUSSION ON LAW AND ORDER SITUATION IN THE PROVINCE:-

Resuming the General discussion on law and order situation in the Province for the third day. Following Members participated in the discussion: Ch Shaukat Mahmood Basra, Ch. Ali Asghar Manda, Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, Mrs. Samina Khawar Hayat, Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana, Syed Hassan Murtaza, Mrs. Amna Ulfat, Mian Rafique, Ms. Sajida Mir and Ms. Saghira Islam. Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs winding up the debate claimed that the Law and Order situation in Punjab was better than in any other Province, of Pakistan.

The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm on Monday, December, 9, 2012.
