            A MINISTER to move that the message of the Governor in respect of the Injured Persons (Medical Aid) (Amendment) Bill 2011, as passed by the Assembly on 21-12-2011 be taken into consideration at once.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology and Tourism Department were asked and answered by Rana Muhammad Arshad, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism.

Privilege Motions:-

The Motion moved by Ms. Zobia Rubab Malik regarding misbehavior of police officials with the member concerned was kept pending for two days.

The Motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. The two Motions moved by Shaikh Allaud Din, one regarding mysterious absence of 130 very expensive and prestigiously historical cannons from Mal Khanna, District Jhang and the other Motion regarding fight between two student organizations at Punjab University, where number of students got injured, the Motion moved by Ms Rahat Ajmal regarding accidents at Kot Radha Kishan Road to Raiwind due to heavy load of tractors and trolleys moving on this road, the Motion moved by Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja regarding serious administrative problems occurred when DCO Rawalpindi issued orders that all the Teachers of District Rawalpindi should appear before him for grant of Casual Leave thus depriving Heads of Educational Institutions and Tehsil and District Officers Education Department of their powers to grant leave were kept pending till next week. The Motion moved by Mrs Amna Ulfat regarding Girls Primary School, Tehsil Bhoana, District Chinniot at Wara Village without teachers for the last eight months and the last Motion moved by Dr. Zamurad Yasmin Rana regarding non provision of allotment and ownership rights to the Industrial workers of the Punjab in the remaining 5 Labour Colonies by Workers Welfare Board Government of the Punjab, sending notices to the residents for the vacation of houses, were disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Mr. Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti presented the report of Standing Committee on Environment Protection before the House in respect of “The Punjab Environment Protection (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 56 of 2011)”, before the House.

Mrs. Deeba Mirza presented the report of Standing Committee on Revenue, Relief and Consolidation before the House in respect of “The Settlement Commissioners (Validation of Orders) (Repeal) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 52 of 2011)” and The Evacuee Property and Displaced Persons Laws (Repeal) (Amendment) Bill 2011 (Bill No. 53 of 2011), before the House.
