            A MINISTER to move that the message of the Governor in respect of the Hindu Disposition of Property (Amendment) Bill 2011, as passed by the Assembly on 14-12-2011 be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Hindu Disposition of Property (Amendment) Bill 2011, as originally passed by the Assembly and returned by the Governor under Article 116(2)(b) of the Constitution, be reconsidered by the Assembly in the light of the message of the Governor.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department were asked and answered by Mr. Zafar Iqbal Nagra, Parliamentary Secretary for Housing, Urban Development.

Call Attention Notices:-

Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Ms. Sajida Mir regarding assassination of a factory guard Nasrullah Khan on resistance by the dacoits at District Sheikupura and the other Call Attention Notice of Major (R) Abdul Rehman Rana regarding dacoity at the residence of Dr. Tariq and also kidnapping his four years old boy for ransom of one Crore rupees were disposed of.

The Notices were answered by Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. Two motions moved by Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, one regarding heavy borrowing by the Punjab Government from State Bank of Pakistan and mishandling of available funds was referred for discussion in the House on Friday dated 28-1-2012 and the other Motion regarding advertisement published  for only 6 vacancies about recruitment against 39 vacancies in Para Military Police Dera Ghazi Khan, which are lying vacant resulting in unemployment in the area and the Motion moved by Ch Shoukat Mehmood Basra regarding delay in the disbursement of salaries to the employees working on the payroll of Government of the Punjab were disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved THE PARKS AND HORTICULTURE AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.36 of 2011), which was referred to the Select Committee with the direction to submit its report upto 1st March, 2012.

Resolution:-

Raja Riaz Ahmad, Leader of Opposition moved out of turn Resolution in support of Literary Cultural and Extra Curriculum Activities in the Educational Institution which was passed by the House.
