2.   THE PUNJAB ANIMALS SLAUGHTER CONTROL (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Animal Slaughter Control (Amendment) Bill 2012.

 

3.   THE PUNJAB COURT OF WARDS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Court of Wards (Amendment) Bill 2012.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

OATH: −

The members-elect Mr. Adil Abdullah Khan Rokhri (PP-44) and Maj (R) Muhammad Azam Khan Gaba (PP-18) made oath as member of the Punjab Assembly and signed the Roll of Members. Mr. Speaker administered the oath.


Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Irrigation Department were asked and answered by Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Minister for Irrigation.

Adjournment Motions:-

Seven Adjournment Motions were take up. The Motion moved by Rana Tanveer Ahmad Nasir regarding occurrence of number of mistakes in the text book of Chemistry taught in government and private English Medium Schools in Class IX despite of approval by the Punjab Text Book Board, the Motion moved by Ms Qamar Amir Ch regarding selling of infected and unhealthy blood by hundreds of chemical laboratories surrounding government and private hospitals in Labore which are owned by staff/doctors of these hospitals and due to which life threatening diseases are spreading, the Motion moved by Ms Amna Ullfat regarding distribution/allotment of more than 200 Parking Stands to their favourites by the City District government Lahore without auction, the Motion moved by Mr Tariq Amin Hotiyana regarding payment of small amount of Rs.1000/- as dues to the Polio workers for four days working, which is not enough amount in these times of inflation, the Motion moved by Ms Khadija Umer regarding non-availability of transport facility in 28 Government Colleges for Women, due to which 26 thousands students are facing problems and mental anguish, the Motion moved by Sheikh Allaud Din regarding collection of fines on challans and return of documents relating to vehicles has become very complicated and painful due to which general public is facing number of problems and need to be made fool proof and payments should be collected in the same way as the utility bills are collected through Mobile phones and the motion moved by Dr Zamurad Yasmin Rana regarding MRI and CT Scan machines installed in Children Hospital Lahore are not in working condition and out of order since May 2011 after completing its life span were kept pending till next week.

The Motions were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan (Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs).


Extension In Time Limit For Laying The Reports:-

On a Motion moved by Shaikh Allaud Din, the House granted extension up to one month to Special Committee No. 20 for laying its report on the matter raised in “Adjournment Motion No. 1774/11” moved by Ms Azma Zahid Bukhari, MPA (W-342) regarding the alleged criminal activities of fake spiritual leaders”.

On a Motion moved by Ch. Irfan-ud-Din, the House granted extension up to one month to Special Committee No. 10 for laying its report on “Adjournment Motion No. 776/2010 moved  by Mian Tariq Mehmood, MPA (PP-113)”.

On a Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu, the House granted extension up to two months to the Standing Committee on Privileges for laying its reports on “Privilege Motions No. 51 for the year 2008, 23,28,31,50 and 57 for the year 2009, 5, 10, 21 and 38 for the year 2010, 2,9,13,16,23,24,25,28,48,53,56,64,67,69,70,71,72,75,76 and 77 for the year 2011, 1 and 3 for the year 2012.

On a Motion moved by Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan, the House granted extension up to one month to the Standing Committee on Education for laying its reports on “the Punjab Supervision of Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of Standards of Education Bill 2012 (Bill No. 1 of 2012) and Starred Question Nos.3435 and 3436”.

Rana Sannaullah Khan Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following Bills, which were referred to their concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit their reports within one month.

“CONTINUATION OF PRE-BUDGET DISCUSSION SEEKING PROPOSALS OF THE MEMBERS FOR THE BUDGET 2012-13”:-

Pre-Budget discussion seeking proposals of the members for the budget 2012-13 continued. Following members participated in the discussion: Al-Haaj Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, Mr. Ahmed Khan Balouch, Shaikh Allaud Din and Mr Jahan Zeb Khan Warran.

The House was then adjourned till 9:00 am on Friday, March, 2, 2012.
