            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Zakat and Ushr Bill 2012.

 

2.   THE GOVERNMENT SADIQ COLLEGE WOMEN UNIVERSITY BAHAWALPUR BILL 2012

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur Bill 2012.

 

3.   THE GOVERNMENT COLLEGE WOMEN UNIVERSITY FAISALABAD BILL 2012

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Government College Women University, Faisalabad Bill 2012.

 

4.   THE GOVERNMENT COLLEGE WOMEN UNIVERSITY SIALKOT BILL 2012

 

            A MINISTER to introduce the Government College for Women University, Sialkot Bill 2012.

 

(B) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

 

1.   THE BANK OF PUNJAB (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.55 of 2011)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Bank of Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Finance, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Bank of Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2011 be passed.

 

 

2.   THE PUNJAB ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (AMENDMENT) BILL 2011 (Bill No.56 of 2011)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Environmental Protection (Amendment) Bill 2011, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Environment Protection, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Environmental Protection (Amendment) Bill 2011 be passed.

 

3.   THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SECOND AMENDMENT) BILL 2012 (Bill No.2 of 2012)

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Second Amendment) Bill 2012, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Local Government and Rural Development, be taken into consideration at once.

 

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Local Government (Second Amendment) Bill 2012 be passed.

SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Education Department School were asked and answered by Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister for Excise and Taxation (holding additional charge).

Privilege Motions:-

Three Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr.  Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti regarding non provision of list of occupants illegally possessing Government residences and revision of allotment policy according to CSR as directed in the meetings of Public Accounts Committee II held on 19-8-2009 and then on 18-4-2011, to enquire the matter and submitting inquiry report. But in the meeting of PAC-II held on 17-1-2012, neither inquiry report nor list of illegal occupants was provided by S&GAD thus violating the provisions of Punjab Assembly Privileges Act 1972, the Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna regarding giving false statement to the member concerned by Mr. Javaid, XEN PWD, Sahiwal and last the Motion of Ms. Rifat Sultana Dar regarding misbehavior of Mr. Inayat Dehlloun Investigation Officer (Peoples Colony Police Station Faisalabad) with the member concerned were kept pending till next week.

The Motions were answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motion:-

Only one Adjournment Motion moved by  Shaikh Allaud Din regarding sale of fake Stamp Papers worth billions of Rupees, thus bringing irreparable loss to the national exchequer, which could have been curtailed by the sale of Stamp Papers through bank Pay Orders  was kept pending till next session.

The Motion was answered by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.

Laying of Report:-

Sardar Malik Jehanzeb Warn presented the report of Standing Committee on Colonies before the House in respect of “The Punjab Katchi Abadis (Amendment) Bill 2012 (Bill No. 3 of 2012)”.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs introduced the following Bills, which were referred to the concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit its reports within one month.
