Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Presentation of Annual Budget Statement for the Year 2012-13
Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Finance delivered his budget speech and presented the Annual Budget Statement for the year 2012-13 with a total outlay of Rs.782 billion.
Presentation of the Supplementary Budget Statement for the Year 2011-12 and the Finance Bill 2012
The Minister for Finance presented the Supplementary Budget Statement for the year 2011-12 amounting to Rs.57 billion and introduced the Finance Bill 2012 and The Punjab Sales Tax on Services Bill 2012 in the House.
As per schedule issued by the Assembly Secretariat, Five days were fixed for general discussion on the budget commencing June 12, 2012; On completion of the business of the day, the House was then adjourned to meet on Tuesday, June 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
