Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Privilege Motions:-

Three Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Lt. Col (R) Muhammad Shabbir Awan regarding misbehavior of Mr Agha Nadeem Additional Secretary Industries and Mr. Ismail Iqbal, Deputy Chief Technical, with the member concerned, the Motion moved by Col (R) Naveed Iqbal Sajid regarding misbehavior of Ch. Zafar, Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department with the member concerned were kept pending till next week and the Motion moved by Mr. Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti regarding misbehavior of Dr. Iqbal, ASP with the member concerned was kept pending till 14-6-2012.

 

The Motions were answered by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Parliamentary Secretary for Law and Parliamentary Affairs.  

 

Laying of Reports:-

 

Malik Akhtar Hussain Noul presented the report of Standing Committee on Agriculture before the House in respect of “The Punjab Agricultural Universities (Amendment) Bill 2012 (Bill No.14 of 2012)”.

Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan presented the report of Standing Committee on Education before the House in respect of “The Punjab Supervision of Curricula, Text Books and Maintenance of Standards of Education Bill 2012 (Bill No.1 of 2012)”.

Dr. Samia Amjad presented the report of Standing Committee on Health before the House in respect of “The University of Health Sciences, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2012 (Bill No.16 of 2012)”.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

“COMMENCEMENT OF GENERAL DISCUSSION ON ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2012-13”:-

General discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2012-13 continued for the second day. Following members participated in the discussion: Ch. Muhammad Shafique, Mrs.‏ Khadija Umar, Mr. Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti, Mrs.‏ Nighat Sheikh, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Col (R)Shujah Khanzada, Mrs. Sajida Mir, Sardar Qaiser Abbas Khan Magassi, Ms. Nargis Awan, Mr Muhammad Mueen Watto, Ms. Arifa Khalid Pervez, Mrs.‏ Shagufta Sheikh, Mrs.‏ Deeba Mirza and Mrs.‏ Shameela Aslam,
