2. THE PUNJAB METROBUS AUTHORITY BILL 2012 (Bill No. 27 of 2012)
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Metrobus Authority Bill 2012, as recommended by Standing Committee on Transport, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Metrobus Authority Bill 2012 be passed.

SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Panel of Chairmen:-
The Acting Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen for the session, as envisaged in Rule 13 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The names of the Panel, in order of precedence, are as under: −
1. Dr. Asad Ashraf, MPA (PP-138)
2. Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA (PP-150)
3. Ch. Tahir Mehmood Hundli Advocate, (PP-125)
4. Humaira Awais Shahid, MPA (W-351)
Fateha:-
The House offered fateha on the sad demise of the victims who lost their lives in the fire tragedies occurred in Karachi and Lahore incidents and prayed for the departed souls..
Suspension of Rule
The House granted leave to suspend Rule 115 of the Rules of the Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab to take up the following Resolutions.
Resolution:-
Ch Zaheer-ud-Din through a Resolution flayed the release of blasphemous movie that had hurt the Muslim Ummah. The Resolution condemned desecration of Holy Prophet (PBUP) and demanded stern action against the people behind the production and release of the movie. The Resolution termed the movie a conspiracy which provoked the Muslims in the series of acts by the West to disrespect and malign Islam and called upon the Government of Pakistan to raise the issue before the United Nations so that affective steps could be taken at the international level to prevent such acts in future. The Resolution was unanimously passed by the House.
Resolution:-
Rana Sanaullah, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs through a Resolution expressed profound grief and sorrow over the deaths caused by fire incidents occurred in the garments factory in Karachi and a shoe factory in Lahore on the same day and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls and called it a National loss. The Resolution was unanimously passed by the House.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned Sine die.

"صوبائی اسمبلی پنجاب کا یہ ایوان، متنازعہ فلم Innocence of Muslims میں نبی اکرمﷺ کی شان اقدس میں کی گئی گستاخی کی شدید مذمت کرتا ہے اور مطالبہ کرتا ہے کہ اس کے ذمہ داروں کے خلاف کارروائی کی جائے۔ مہذب دُنیا کے تمام ممالک دُنیا بھر میں بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے داعی ہیں، جبکہ اس دعویٰ کے برعکس انہی ممالک میں اخبارات اور میڈیا کے لوگ نبی آخرالزماںﷺ کی (نعوذ باللہ) تسلسل کے ساتھ توہین کر کے اُمت مسلمہ کے جذبات بھڑکانے کی سازشیں کر رہے ہیں۔ توہین آمیز فلم کی ریلیز اور اس سے قبل اسی قسم کے خاکوں کی اشاعت کے پے در پے واقعات پر پوری دُنیا کے مسلمانوں میں سخت غم و غصہ اور بے چینی پائی جاتی ہے، لہذا دُنیا میں امن کے قیام کیلئے مسلمانوں کی دل آزاری کا یہ مذموم سلسلہ فی الفور بند ہونا چاہئے۔
