(b) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS
1. THE PUBLIC SECTOR UNIVERSITIES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012 (BILL NO. 13 of 2012)
A MINISTER to move that the Public Sector Universities (Amendment) Bill 2012, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the Public Sector Universities (Amendment) Bill 2012 be passed.
2. THE UNIVERSITY OF VETERINARY & ANIMAL SCIENCES, LAHORE (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012 (BILL NO. 15 of 2012)
A MINISTER to move that the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2012, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Livestock and Dairy Development, be taken into consideration at once.
A MINISTER to move that the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2012 be passed.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Deputy Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Panel of Chairmen:-
The senior Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen for the session, as envisaged in Rule 13 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997. The names of the Panel, in order of precedence, were as under: −
1. Dr. Asad Ashraf, MPA (PP-138)
2. Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA (PP-150)
3. Malik Nosher Khan Langerial, MPA (PP-235)
4. Ms. Embesat Hamid, MPA (W-359)
Oath:-
The members-elect Makhdoom Syed Murtaza Mehmood (PP-295), Mrs. Shazia Abid (W-339) and Ms Rabia Rehman (W-351) made oath as members of the Punjab Assembly and signed the roll of members. The Speaker administered the oath.
