      THE PROVINCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2012

            A MINISTER to move that the requirements of Rules 94 and 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997 may be dispensed with under Rule 234 ibid, for immediate consideration of the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2012.

            A MINISTER to introduce the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2012.

            A MINISTER to move that the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2012 be taken into consideration at once.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

 Fateha:-

The House offered fateha on the sad demise of the former Minister, Sheikh Ijaz Ahmed.

Question Hour: −

Questions relating to Food Department were asked and answered by Mr. Muhammad Saeed Mughal, Parliamentary Secretary for Food.

Adjournment Motions:

Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms Amna Ulfat regarding freezing of Conveyance Allowance of the government servants by the Punjab Government in contravention of notification issued by the Federal Government to increase their allowance to give them relief and the Motion moved by Ms Nighat Nasir Sheikh regarding negligence by the Archeology Department in respect of renovation of Tomb of “Muhabat Khan” who was a General in the Army of Mughal emperor Jahangir and Shah Jahan were disposed of. The Motion moved by Ms Seemal Kamran regarding refusal by the administration of different girls colleges to give admission to the applicants of F.A and F.S on the ground that their result cards contained stars showing that they had passed subjects with concessional marks not withstanding that their names appeared in the merit list, the Motions moved by Ms Nighat Nasir Sheikh regarding sale and purchase of Government Land in Mouza “Harbanspura” Lahore through fake documentation and tampering in the Revenue record  by Patwaris and the staff of Revenue Department in connivance with the Land Mafia and the Motion regarding lack of Planning by “WASA” administration to stop wastage of underground potable water thus leading to loss of Corers of rupees and increase in the cost expenditure to get under ground water were kept pending till next week.
