Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Under Rule 13(1) of Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab 1997, the Secretary Assembly announced the Panel of Chairmen in the following order:

Due to sudden death of Dr. Malik Aftab Maqbool Joiya, Senior Secretary Punjab Assembly, the House was adjourned till Friday, July 26th, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.
