Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour:-
Questions relating to Industries, Commerce and Investment Department were asked and answered by Ch Muhammad Shafique, Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment.
Adjournment Motions:-
Six Adjournment Motions were moved. The Motion moved by Mr Muhammad Sibtain Khan regarding construction of defensive dam out of funds allocated for the purpose on immediate basis in Allowali Tehsil Piplan District Mianwali located in PP-46 to prevent flood water, the motion moved by Ms Saadia Sohail Rana regarding revelation made by WHO about non-availability of flood related viral diseases vaccination and medicines in the province of Punjab and snake bite, neither amount is allocated for the purchase of such medicines, the motions moved by Mr Amjad Ali Javed and Mian Muhammad Rafique on the same subject regarding “Target Operation” against hawkers/vendors in the month of Ramzan under taken by District Administration of Toba Tek Singh through TMA, ejecting them from Main Bazar thus depriving them of their livelihood and making them unemployed were kept pending till next week. The motion moved by Sheikh Alla-ud-Din about deteriorating condition of strengthening laboratory and screening facilities which is the basis of Hepatitis Control Programme. Moreover PCR test necessary for the patients of Hepatitis is only available in Jinnah Hospital, which is catering 10 million people of Lahore, and cause of increase of hepatitis patients and the motion moved by Sardar Vikas Hassan Mokal regarding rapid spread of Dengue fever in Lahore and its where abouts, resulting in the congestions of the hospitals were disposed of.
The Motions were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

“GENERAL DISCUSSION ON THE REPORT OF THE PUNJAB PENSION FUND FOR THE YEAR 2010”
General discussion on the Report of the Punjab Pension Fund for the year 2010 could not be initiated since it was not available to the members. Mr. Speaker adjourned the debate till Monday.
The House was then adjourned till 3:00 pm on Monday 19th August, 2013.
