            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Employees’ Efficiency, Discipline & Accountability (Amendment) Bill 2014.

2.   THE PUNJAB CIVIL SERVANTS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill 2014.

3.   THE PUNJAB LIVESTOCK BREEDING BILL 2014

            A MINISTER to introduce the Punjab Livestock Breeding Bill 2014.

(b) CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

4.   THE PUNJAB DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 (Bill No. 01 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Development of Cities (Amendment) Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Development of Cities (Amendment) Bill 2014, be passed.

5.   THE LAHORE GARRISON UNIVERSITY BILL 2014 (Bill No. 02 of 2014)

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Garrison University Bill 2014, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Lahore Garrison University Bill 2014, be passed.

 Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Fateha:-

The House offered fateha for sad demise of Badshah Khan Afridi, Ex-MPA, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab. 

Question Hour: −  

Questions relating to Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology and Tourism Department were asked and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Minister for Education (holding additional charge) answered the questions.

Privilege Motions:-

Only one privilege Motion was taken up, which was moved by Ch. Amjad Ali Javaid regarding misbehavior of Dr. Ejaz Haider, EDO Health, Toba Tek Singh, was kept pending till next week.

The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions:-

Twenty Adjournment Motions were taken up. Seven Motion of   Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, one regarding news-item about high expenditure at Livestock Department, Lahore, second Motion regarding news-item about sale of sand by the Irrigation Department at Jhang Branch, third Motion regarding news-item about bribery for providing mobile to prisoners in various prisons of the Punjab, fourth Motion regarding news-item about misappropriation in purchase of machinery at Tonsa Baraj, fifth Motion regarding news-item about illegal process of extracting oil from old tires, sixth Motion regarding news-item about increase in the suicide attempt with the use of wheat preserve medicines in Pakistan and last Motion regarding news-item about illegal use of Government residents by Irrigation Department officials were disposed of. Four Motions were moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, one regarding non-operational of Bone Marrow Transplant Center at Children’s Hospital, second Motion regarding extra Rs. 200 million for land purchased by the University of Engineering and Technology, Texla, third Motion regarding closure of BS Programme at Murray College by the University of Gujrat and last motion regarding increase quota for Azad Kashmir students in the medical colleges of the Punjab, Motion moved by Dr. Nausheen Hamid regarding news-item about encroachment at Anarkali Bazar, Lahore, Motion moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal regarding news-item about exploitation of sugar cane mafia at District Kasur, Motion moved by Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad regarding irregularities committed by the Vice Chancellor of University of Education,  two Motions were moved by Mst. Hina Pervaiz Butt, one regarding lack of Government check and balance on private schools/colleges and other Motion regarding news-item about inefficacy of Food Authority in the province, Motion moved by Mr. Ahmed Khan Bhachar regarding corruption at TMA, Darya Khan, District Bhakkar, Motion moved by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal regarding news-item about lack of attention Archaeology Department towards parking area at Badshahi Masjid, Shahi Qila, Lahore, Motion moved by Mrs. Nabela Hakim Ali Khan news-item about illegal purchase/selling of files of LDA City, located at Ferozpur Road, Lahore, and last Motion moved by Dr. Murad Rass regarding news-item about not introducing new syllabus of class 8 in Lahore, Punjab by the School Education Department, were kept pending till next week.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Introduction of Bills:

Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, introduced the following Bills before the House:

1.            THE PUNJAB EMPLOYEES’ EFFICIENCY, DISCIPLINE & ACCOUNTABILITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014.

2.            THE PUNJAB CIVIL SERVANTS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014.

3.            THE PUNJAB LIVESTOCK BREEDING BILL 2014, which were referred to their concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit their reports within one month.

At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned till 10:00 am on Thursday, March, 13, 2014.
