Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Laying of Reports:
Mian Tahir laid report of Standing Committee on Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering in respect of;
“The Bab-E-Pakistan Foundation Bill 2014 (Bill No. 15. of 2014)”
Syed Muhammad Sibtain Raza laid report of Standing Committee on Information in respect of;
“The Management and Transfer of Properties by the Development Authorities Bill 2014 (Bill no. 14 of 2014)”
GENERAL DISCUSSION ON ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2014-15:-
General discussion on the Annual Budget 2014-15 continued on the second day. The following Members participated in the discussion:-
Rana Muhammad Ashrad, Ch. Sarfraz Afzal, Mrs. Shameela Aslam, Bao Akhtar Ali, Mr. Tariq Masih Gill, Ch. Muhammad Ashraf, Syed Muhammad Sibtain Raza, Mrs. Madiha Khan, Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja, Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad, Miss Hina Pervaiz Butt, Ms. Nighat Sheikh, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal and Dr. Nausheen Hamid.
On the killing of Pakistan Awami Tahreek’s workers, by Police in Model Town Lahore, Opposition boycotted the proceedings of the House and staged a walk out.
The House was adjourned till Wednesday June 18th, 2014 at 10:00 am.
