Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Government Business:-
Discussion and Voting on Demands for Grants for the Year 2014-15:-
The treasury presented 43 Demands for grants and Opposition submitted six cut motions against the allocation for Police, Health Services, Education, agriculture, Irrigation and General administration. The Minister for Finance moved Demands for grants.
The Demand for grant in respect of Police Department for the fiscal year 2014-15 was presented before the House for discussion which was opposed by Opposition members and they moved the cut motion.
The Cut Motion was rejected with majority and the grant was passed with the increased amount of Rs.81 billion for the department.
The House was adjourned till Monday June 23, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
