Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Adjournment Motions:-

Two Adjournment Motions of Sheikh Ala-ud-Din were taken up one regarding incompetence of Motorway Police deputed at Lahore Multan National Highway, due to which this Highway has become one of the dangerous roads in the world, the second motion regarding illegal possession and transfer of 4300 acres of Land of “Bhratri Trust” located in Layyah by the Qabza group were disposed of as mover was not present.

Voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants 2013-2014:-

The House passed 41 Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2013-14, worth Rs.24.40 billion for 38 departments. The five cut motions earlier given by the Opposition, had been settled in the Business Advisory Committee.

Laying of the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the Year 2013-14.

Minister for Finance, Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman laid the Supplementary Schedule of Authorized Expenditure for the year 2013-14.

The Chair read out the Prorogation Order of the Governor Punjab and the House was then prorogued.
