Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Fatheh

The House offered Fatheh on the sad demise of sister of Mrs.‏ Sultana Shaheen, MPA.

Question Hour

Questions relating to Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department were asked and Haji Muhammad Ilyas Ansari, Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal answered the questions.

Call Attention Notices

Five Call Attention Notices of Malik Fiaz Ahmad Awan, Mian Tariq Mehmood, Ch Aamir Sultan Cheema, Ms Faiza Ahmad Malik and Mr Ahmad Shah Khagga respectively were kept pending till Monday 16 February, 2015 as Col.(R) Shuja Khanzada, Minister for Home was not present.

Privilege Motion

The Privilege Motion moved by Malik Muhammad Nawaz regarding his insult by Malik Awais, S.P, Madina Town Faisalabad, who released a proclaimed offender naming Tauseef Usman even on the request of concerned Member not to let him escape was kept pending as mover was not present.

Adjournment Motions

Five Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr Ahsan Riaz Fityana regarding non-availability of water to irrigate agricultural land at Chak No.77RB of Tehsil Jaranwala, District Faisalabad after narrowing down outlet located at the tail of Karianwala water course in Pakdala Sub Division of Mianwali Branch and broadening remaining outlets consequently water is not reaching the mentioned outlet, the Motion moved by Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar regarding spray of pesticides on vegetables and fruits even before their delivery to the market which is harmful for human health and such practice is non-prevalent in developed countries, were disposed of. The Motion moved by Ch Aamir Sultan Cheema regarding corruption of Rs.10.24 million by Dr. Tanveer Ex-DG, Health and other officers of Health Department allocated by UNICEF to take steps to monitor spread of measles and to take preventive measures, two Motions moved by Ms Khadija Umar, one regarding falling of six years old girl from the roof of Xinwa Mall located at Hussain Chowk, Gulberg, Lahore, due to negligence of Mall administration as well as carefree attitude of LDA and Local Government, allowing incomplete Mall to be operational, the second Motion regarding shortage of space for graveyards in Lahore especially in populated area of Chowk Yateemkhana to Chuburji Multan Road, Lahore, even in the presence of land available for the purpose in UCs 83 & 90 due to irresponsible behavior of Punjab Local Government Department consequently residents of the area are facing constant problem of burial of their dear ones, were kept pending.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Minister for Labour & Human Resource introduced the following Ordinances in the House which were referred to the concerned Standing Committees with the direction to submit its reports within two months.
