1.   THE PUNJAB INFORMATION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENTS BILL 2015 (BILL No. 02 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Bill 2015, be passed.

2.   THE PUNJAB SECURITY OF VULNERABLE ESTABLISHMENTS BILL 2015 (BILL No. 01 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Security of Vulnerable Establishments Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Security of Vulnerable Establishments Bill 2015, be passed.

3.   THE PUNJAB ARMS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2015 (BILL No. 03 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Arms (Amendment) Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Arms (Amendment) Bill 2015, be passed.

4.   THE PUNJAB MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC ORDER (AMENDMENT) BILL 2015 (BILL No. 06 of 2015)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (Amendment) Bill 2015, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (Amendment) Bill 2015, be passed.


MOTION UNDER RULE 61

 

DISCUSSION ON A MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE ARISING OUT OF ANSWER TO STARRED QUESTION NO. 2170.

 

            MR MUHAMMAD ANEES QURESHI to initiate discussion on a matter of public importance arising out of answer to Starred Question No. 2170 relating to the Housing, Urban development and Public Health Engineering Department.

Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Irrigation Department were asked and Ch Khalid Mehmood Jajja, Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation, answered the questions.

Privilege Motions

Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The motion moved by Mr Amjad Ali Javaid against Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department for providing wrong and misleading answer to the question raised by him during Question Hour on 24 February 2015 was kept pending. The motion moved by Mr Javed Akhtar regarding indignifying and derogatory remarks given by Mr. Rouf Kalasra, a Senior Journalist, against the members of South Punjab while analyzing and commenting on Senate polls on a private TV channel was referred to the Committee on Privileges with the direction to submit its report within two months.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions

Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. Two motions moved by Ms. Khadija Umar, one regarding non-availability of girls high schools in 15 Union Councils of district Jhang and 38 boys high schools and 44 girls higher secondary schools are without Headmistress/Principal in district Bhakkar and the second motion regarding shortage of teaching hospitals in the Province of the Punjab while 24 districts are deprived of such hospitals, consequently a net of private hospitals is expanding and people are compelled  to get expensive treatment from there even it is unaffordable for them, were disposed of. The motion moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal regarding illegal possession of land grabbers on the land of Forest Department and transfer of more than two lacs acre of land in the name of federal and provincial governments for non-forest purpose has decreased the ratio of forest area to 4 percent in the Province of Punjab which is against international standard, thereby environment pollution is increasing and agriculture and wild life is badly effected, was kept pending till next week.

Government Business

Consideration and Passage of Bills

Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved “THE PUNJAB INFORMATION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENTS BILL 2015 (BILL No. 02 of 2015)”, which was passed by the House.

At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned till Thursday 5th March, 2015 at 9:00 am.
