Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Youth Affairs, Sports, Archeology & Tourism and 
Environment Protection Departments were asked and Chaudhary Sarfraz Afzal, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, Archeology & Tourism and Mr. Akmal Saif Chatha, Parliamentary Secretary for Environment Protection, answered the questions.

Privilege Motion

The privilege motion moved by Mr Amjad Ali Javaid against Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department for providing wrong and misleading answer to the question raised by him during Question Hour on 24 February 2015, was kept pending.

The Motion was answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

Adjournment Motions

Six Adjournment Motions were taken up. Two motions moved by Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal one regarding dacoity occurred during day time at fertilizer store at Chowk Allahabad Kasur and looting millions of rupees at gun point and seriously injuring an employee as occurrence of such dacoities during day time has become a routine in the area on daily basis and inability of police to arrest the culprits, the second motion regarding illegal possession of land grabbers on the land of Forest Department and transfer of more than two lacs acre of land in the name of federal and provincial governments for non-forest purpose has decreased the ratio of forest area to 4 percent in the Province of Punjab which is against international standard, thereby environment pollution is increasing and agriculture and wild life is badly effected and the motion moved by Ms. Nighat Sheikh  regarding appropriation of 635 Kanals and 13 Marlas Government land worth 8 billion rupees situated at Mouza Niaz Baig in connivance with officers of Board of Revenue Punjab, Collector Consolidation, Federal Land Commission and LDA and due to their negligence as disclosed after 34 years in the report compiled by AC City, were disposed of. The motion moved by Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt regarding mixing of highly dangerous chemicals like sulphur etc in the imported LPG to increase its volume unabashedly, is causing Cancer and other fatal diseases and is unchecked by the concerned authorities, the motion moved by Mr. Ahmad Shah Khagga regarding allotment of land for establishing a police station reserved for the construction of two mosques at Jewan Shah Tehsil, Arifwala, District Pakpattan and the motion moved by Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema, regarding construction of illegal buildings without the approval of maps/layout in connivance with Tandlianwala administration and bringing a loss of million of rupees to the national exchequer, were kept pending till next week.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then sine die.
