اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ صوبہ بھر میں خسرے، پولیو اور دیگر مہلک بیماریوں کی ویکسین کی طرح آلودہ پانی سے پیدا ہونے والی بیماریوں کی ویکسین دی جائے تاکہ اس پانی سے پیدا ہونے والی بیماریوں بشمول گیسٹرو و دیگر امراض سے بچا جا سکے۔

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ ہیپاٹائٹس کے مریضوں کی بڑھتی ہوئی تعداد کے پیش نظر صوبہ بھر کے سرکاری ہسپتالوں میں ہیپاٹائٹس (سی) کے انجکشن کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنایا جائے۔

اس ایوان کی رائے ہے کہ پاکستان میں نشہ آور/ سکون آور ادویات کے بڑھتے ہوئے استعمال کے پیش نظر ان ادویات کی غیر قانونی درآمد اور
پس پردہ فروخت کو مکمل طور پر روکا جائے اور اس کی خرید و فروخت میں ملوث افراد و گروہوں کو قانون کے مطابق سخت سزا دی جائے۔

Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Acting Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Excise & Taxation and Mines & Minerals Departments were asked and Mian Muhammad Munir, Parliamentary Secretary for Excise & Taxation and
Mr Amir Hayat Hiraj, Parliamentary Secretary for Mines & Minerals
answered the questions.

Adjournment Motions

Seven Adjournment Motions were taken up. Two Motions moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, one regarding up-gradation of existing wards in different hospitals of Punjab to minimize pressure on Punjab Institute of Cardiology so that patients have full treatment facilities under one roof because after the establishment of PIC these wards were badly neglected, and so-called medical practitioners engaged by the Government in Mega Projects like Kidney & Liver Transplantation are those running private hospitals and earning millions of rupees and the second Motion regarding Establishment of Punjab Medical & Dental Council on the pattern of Sindh Medical & Dental Council to counter regulatory authority of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council which had issued notices of de-recognition to the Medical Colleges of Punjab, two Motions moved by Mr Ahmed Shah Khagga, one regarding presentation of bogus report of 21 districts before Prime Minister and Chief Minister comprising names of hoarders and profiteers and action taken against them was based on wrong information, and the reality is opposite because inflation has increased manifold and the profiteers are rather provided protection and no action has yet been initiated and they are selling commodities on higher rates and the other Motion regarding sale of poison infected monkeys’ and haram animals’ meat in the market of Bahawalnagar and non-initiation of action against the culprits/meat-sellers and the Motion moved out of turn by Mr Arshad Malik, Advocate regarding destruction of harvest in PP-222  due to heavy rains and hailstorm and to facilitate farmers by writing off their loans which they had taken from time to time from different financial institutions and financial compensation to them after government level assessment of their loss were kept pending. Two Motions moved by Ms Khadija Umar one regarding drug Inspectors involved in corruption in Gujranwala especially a Drug Inspector namely Umer Chattha, favouring, pharmacists and quacks to sell expired and fake medicines to the general public and the other Motion regarding embezzlement of million of rupees in the purchase of LED lights by concerned officers of Allama Iqbal Town including Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Officer etc., who were suspended as a result of inquiry conducted by CMIT and were later reinstated were disposed of.

The Motions were answered by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.

The Resolution moved by Ms Nighat Sheikh demanded the Health Department to vaccinate people to immune them from water borne diseases like Gastro, the same way this practice is followed to protect children from several fatal diseases was kept pending.

Due to the absence of concerned Minister, the remaining resolutions were kept pending.
