Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
General Discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2015-16
General discussion on Annual Budget for the year 2015-16 continued for the fourth day. The following members participated in the discussion: Dr. Murad Rass, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, Dr. Nausheen Hamid, Dr. Alia Aftab, Mr Khurram Shehzad, Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, Dr. Salah-ud-Din Khan, Ch Zahid Akram, Ms Khadija Umar, Mr Ali Asghar Manda, Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana, Mian Marghoob Ahmad, Mr Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Advocate, Ms Nighat Sheikh, Malik Muhammad Ali Khokhar, Mian Muhammad Saqib Khurshid, Ms Saira Iftikhar, Syeda Uzma Qadri, Makhdum Hashim Jawan Bakht, Ms Fozia Ayub Qureshi, Mian Muhammad Rafique, Mr Jafar Ali Hocha, Ms Shaheen Ashfaq, Ms Tamkeen Akhtar Niazi, Mr Ramesh Singh Arora, Ms Lubna Rehan, Mr Shoukat Ali Laleka, Ch. Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi, the House granted two months extension to the Committee on Privileges for laying its reports on “Privilege Motions No.12 for the year 2013, 15, 20, 25, 31 for the year 2014 and 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 for the year 2015”.
On a Motion moved by Ch Muhammad Akram, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Education for laying its report on “Adjournment Motion No. 1199/2014 moved by Mr Amjad Ali Javed, MPA (PP-86)”.
On a Motion moved by Ms Raheela Khadim Hussain, the House granted one month extension to the Special Committee No.4 for laying its report on “the Issue of LDA Employees Housing Scheme, Thokar Niaz Baig raised in the reply of Starred Question No.269 asked by Ms Ayesha Javed, MPA (W-317)”.
On a Motion moved by Mr Ahmed Khan Baloch, the House granted one month extension to the Standing Committee on Transport for laying its report on “Question No. 2338/2014 moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood, MPA (PP-113)”.
Laying of Reports
Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi presented before the House the reports of Committee on Privileges in respect of “Privilege Motions No. 32 for the year 2014, 2 and 13 for the year 2015”.
The House was then adjourned till Friday, June 19, 2015 at 9:00 am.
