Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Question Hour
Questions relating to Services & General Administration Department were asked and Mr. Ali Asghar Manda, Parliamentary Secretary for Services & General Administration answered the questions.
Laying of Reports
Mr Amjad Ali Javaid presented before the House the reports of Standing Committee on Health in respect of the Punjab Drugs (Second Amendment) Bill 2015 (Bill No. 41 of 2015) and the Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore (Amendment) Bill 2015 (Bill No. 6 of 2016).
Adjournment Motions
Eight Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mrs. Faiza Mushtaq regarding down grading status of Government College of Technology, Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin from University to College Rasul and adjusting students of the College to some other educational institution, the Motion moved by Mr. Amjad Ali Javaid that sixteen doctors of Dental College, Multan could not able to get house job due to non-registration from PMDC, the Motion moved by Mr. Ahmed Khan Bhachar regarding newspaper report about financial corruption found in clean water and Sewerage project in Lahore due to granting of development schemes to favorite persons, the Motion moved by Ch Ashraf Ali Ansari regarding newspaper report about selling of muscle-building supplements and steroid medicines at medical stores at Gujranwala, the Motion moved by Ms. Shunila Ruth regarding newspaper report about price hike before Holy month of Ramzan and increase in the prices of mutton and beef in Lahore, the Motion moved by Dr. Muhammad Afzal regarding newspaper report about giving forty kanal land of Government Model Town Hospital along with machinery worth of millions to the Model Town Society by the Local Government Department were kept pending and two Motions were moved by Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid, one regarding newspaper report about interference of middleman in wheat procurement in the Punjab on which the Chair directed the concerned Member to discuss this matter in Agriculture Committee and the other regarding changing design of Bab-e-Pakistan, Lahore was kept pending.
The answers were given by the concerned Ministers/Parliamentary Secretaries.

The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of Nawabzada Iqbal Mehdi (MNA).

Discussion On Annual Reports of Punjab Pension Fund for the year 2010-11 & 2011-12
Rana Babar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Finance opened up the discussion on the Annual Reports of Punjab Pension Fund for the years 2010-11 & 2011-12. The following Members participated in the discussion: Rana Muhammad Arshad, Mr. Muhammad Siddique Khan, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid, Mian Muhammad Rafique, Ch. Abdul Razzaq Dhillon and Mr. Tariq Masih Gill.
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was adjourned to meet on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
