      LAYING OF THE ANNUAL ACTIVITY REPORTS OF FAISALABAD, MULTAN, GUJRANWALA AND RAWALPINDI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES, AND PARKS & HORTICULTURE AUTHORITY LAHORE FOR THE YEAR 2014-15

            A MINISTER to lay the annual activity Reports of Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Development Authorities, and Parks & Horticulture Authority Lahore for the year 2014-15.

(b)  CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF BILLS

1.         THE PUNJAB PROHIBITION OF CHILD LABOUR AT BRICK KILNS BILL 2016 (BILL No. 9 of 2016)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Prohibition of Child Labour at Brick Kilns Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resource, be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Prohibition of Child Labour at Brick Kilns Bill 2016, be passed.

2.         THE PUNJAB CIVIL COURTS (AMENDMENT) BILL 2016 (BILL No. 26 of 2016)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Civil Courts (Amendment) Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Civil Courts (Amendment) Bill 2016, be passed.

3.         THE PUNJAB CIVILIAN VICTIMS OF TERRORISM (RELIEF AND REHABILITATION) BILL 2016 (BILL No. 18 of 2016)

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Civilian Victims of Terrorism (Relief and Rehabilitation) Bill 2016, as recommended by Standing Committee on Home Affairs be taken into consideration at once.

            A MINISTER to move that the Punjab Civilian Victims of Terrorism (Relief and Rehabilitation) Bill 2016, be passed.

Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Auqaf, Environment Protection and Mines & Minerals Departments were asked and Mr. Akmal Saif Chattha, Parliamentary Secretary for Environment Protection, Mr. Muhmmad Saqlain Anwar Sipra, Parliamentary Secretary for Auqaf & Religious Affairs and Mr. Sher Ali Khan, Minister for Mines & Minerals answered the questions.

Adjournment Motions

Two adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr. Ahmad Shah Khagga regarding spread of encroachments by business community in connivance with District Municipal Administration in Okara city and the other Motion moved by Ms. Saadia Sohail Rana regarding seven thousand posts of male and female Medical Officers are lying vacant at Tehsil & District Headquarters and Basic Health Units of 36 Districts in the Province, were kept pending till next week.

Laying of Report

Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs laid before the House “The Annual Activity Reports of Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Development Authorities and Parks & Horticulture Authority Lahore for the year 2014-15”.

Consideration and Passage of Bills

Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs moved the following Bills, which were passed by the House:

1.    The Punjab Prohibition of Child Labour at Brick Kilns Bill 2016 (Bill No. 9 of 2016);

2.    The Punjab Civil Courts (Amendment) Bill 2016 (Bill No. 26 of 2016); and

3.    The Punjab Civilian Victims of Terrorism (Relief and Rehabilitation) Bill 2016 (Bill No. 18 of 2016).

The House was then adjourned to meet on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
