Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH).
Mr. Speaker and Mian Mehmood ur Rashid Leader of the Opposition welcomed the Inter Parliamentary Delegation to the House representing National Assembly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan Assemblies.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department were asked and Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Minister for Primary & Secondary Healthcare answered the questions.
Call Attention Notices
Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding murder of two persons namely Mr Asgar Ali and Mr Sarfraz Ahmad by direct firing while a passerby namely Mr Adeel s/o Mr Javaid Iqbal was killed by a blind bullet near Circular Road, Dairy Muhajran Lala Musa, District Gujrat and the other Notice of Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana regarding killing of a woman during dacoity by the dacoits at Pir Mahal Toba Tek Singh Road, were disposed of.
The Notices were answered by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motion
The Adjournment Motion moved by Ch Ashraf Ali Ansari regarding establishment of Billiards Clubs at Jehlum by influential people which have become gambling spots even for students of schools and colleges and there is open availability and use of drugs and narcotics in these clubs, was kept pending till next week.
MOTION UNDER RULE 127 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PUNJAB 1997
On a motion moved by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal under Rule 127 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, 1997, the House rejected to grant leave to move the Resolution under Article 128 (2) (a) of the Constitution to disapprove the Punjab Civil Administration Ordinance, 2016 (XX of 2016).
