Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, assumed the Chair and proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an and its Urdu translation followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ.
Question Hour
Questions relating to Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department were asked and Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education answered the questions.
Laying of Reports
Makhdoom Syed Muhammad Masood Alam presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Home in respect of “Starred Question No.8402 asked by Ms Saadia Sohail Rana, MPA (W-355)”.
Ms Saadia Sohail Rana presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Communication & Works in respect of “Starred Question No.8334 asked by Al Haj Muhammad Illyas Chinioti, MPA (PP-73)”.
Dr Murad Rass presented before the House the report of Standing Committee on Cooperatives in respect of “Starred Question No.8445 asked by Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana, MPA (PP-58)”.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Reports
On a Motion moved by Makhdoom Syed Muhammad Masood Alam, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Home for laying its reports in respect of the following:
1. The Prisons (Amendment) Bill 2016 (Bill No.30 of 2016) moved by Miss Hina Pervez Butt, MPA (W-353);
2. Starred Question No.8058 asked by Mr Muhammad Arif Abbasi, MPA (PP-13); and
3. Starred Question No.8025 asked by Mr Ehsan Riaz Fatyana, MPA (PP-58).
