Laying of Reports
Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance laid the following reports which were referred to the Public Accounts Committee I&II with the direction to submit their reports upto 31st May, 2018:-
1. AUDIT REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS OF C&W, HUD&PHE, IRRIGATION, DEPARTMENTS, DAANISH SCHOOLS & CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE AUTHORITY AND CHOLISTAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB FOR THE AUDIT YEAR 2015-16.
2. AUDIT REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB, FOR THE AUDIT YEAR 2016-17.
3. AUDIT REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS OF REVENUE RECEIPTS GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB, FOR THE AUDIT YEAR 2015-16.
Extension in Time Limit for Laying the Report
On a Motion moved by Ms. Nabila Hakim Ali Khan, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on S&GAD for laying its reports in respect of the following: -
1. Starred Questions No.7108 and 7109 asked by Mian Tariq Mehmood, MPA (PP-113);
2. Starred Question No.7122 asked by Ms Raheela Anwar, MPA (W-357); and
3. Starred Question No.7124 asked by Dr Nausheen Hamid, MPA (W-356).
On a Motion moved by Sardar Bahadar Khan Maken, the House granted two month extension to the Standing Committee on Agriculture for laying its report in respect of the following:-
1. The Punjab Tobacco Vend (Amendment) Bill 2017 (Bill No. 9 of 2017) moved by Ms Faiza Mushtaq, MPA (W-299); and
2. Starred Questions No.7350, 8872, 8556.
On a Motion moved by Ms. Ayesha Javed, the House granted two month extension to the Standing Committee on Communication & Works for laying its reports in respect of the following:-
1. The Punjab Regulation of Public Infrastructure Projects Bill 2017 (Bill No. 30 of 2017) moved by Mian Mehmood-Ur-Rasheed, MPA (PP-151); and
2. Starred Question No.8303 asked by Mian Tariq Mehmood, MPA (PP-113).
On a Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik Advocate, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Food for laying its report on “Starred Question No.7621 asked by Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, MPA (PP-148)”.
On a Motion moved by Mr. Muhammad Anis Qureshi, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Finance for laying its reports on “Starred Questions No.7183, 8767 and 9121 asked by Ms Raheela Anwar, MPA (W-357)”.
On a Motion moved by Malik Umar Farooq, the House granted two months extension to the Standing Committee on Home for laying its reports in respect of the following:-
1. The Prisons (Amendment) Bill 2016 (Bill No. 30 of 2016) moved by Miss Hina Pervez Butt, MPA (W-353); and
2. Starred Questions No.825, 8058.
Adjournment Motions
Four Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Ms. Nabila Hakim Ali Khan regarding seventy percent vacancies are lying vacant at Punjab Institute of Mental Health Lahore, the Motion moved by Ms. Khadija Umar regarding sale of substandard dry milk for infants in Lahore, imported from other countries and there is no monitoring on its price, the Motion moved by Ms. Saadia Sohail Rana regarding non-availability of clean drinking water in public hospitals in Lahore consequently, patients and their dependents have to use contaminated water and the last Motion moved by Ms. Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding shortage of doctors especially specialist doctors and other facilities like beds and medicines at Allied Hospital in Rawalpindi were referred to their concerned departments for replies and were kept pending.
Zero Hour
On a motion moved by Ms. Nighat Sheikh regarding purchase and delivery of thousands of vehicles from favorite car dealers by The Bank of Punjab under “Apna Rozgar Scheme” in violation of rules and regulations was answered by Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Minister for Finance and was disposed of.
The House was then adjourned at 11:26 a.m. to meet on Monday, February 05, 2018 at 02:00 p.m.
