Question Hour
Questions relating to Schools Education Department were asked and Mrs. Joyce Rofin Julius, Parliamentary Secretary for Schools Education answered the questions.
Call Attention Notice
Two Call Attention Notices were taken up. The Notice moved by Mian Tariq Mehmood regarding assassination of Muhammad Aslam, resident of Mouza Khohar Khurd, Tehsil Sarai Alamgir (Gujrat) near Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) and the Notice of Sardar Vickas Hasan Mokal (not present) regarding details of dead body of a man aging 40 years recovered from a factory located in Mughalpura Lahore, were disposed of.
The Notice was replied by Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Privilege Motions
Two Privilege Motions were taken up. The Motion moved by Mr. Shahzad Munshi regarding misbehavior of Mr Asim Iqbal, Secretary, Human Rights & Minorities Affairs with the member concerned, was kept pending till next week and the second Motion moved by Mr. Asif Mehmood regarding allocation/provision of development funds in the constituency of the Member concerned to the Ex-MPA, Mr Ayaz, was disposed of.
The Motions were replied by Ch. Nazar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary for Law & Parliamentary Affairs.
Adjournment Motions
Three Adjournment Motions were taken up. The Motion of Mr Ahmed Khan Bhacher that there are four or five renowned bakeries in Lahore with number of branches upon which there is no check and balance and they revise the rates of bakery items on their own, the Motion of Sardar Vickas Hasan Mokal that due to poor planning stocktaking could not be started in Punjab Livestock Department and the last Motion of Dr. Muhammad Afzal regarding violation of contract after receiving payment by two Turkish Companies i.e. Al-Barak and Ozpak, whom contract was awarded by Lahore Waste Management Company for the cleanliness of Lahore and disposal of garbage but even after the passage of five and half years only 10 % garbage has been dumped by the companies, were disposed of as the Members were not present.
Government Business
At this stage, the quorum was pointed out and the House was then adjourned at 01:28 p.m. to meet on Friday, February 09, 2018 at 09:00 a.m.
