The House offered Fateha on the sad demise of mother of Mrs.‏ Raheela Anwar, MPA (W-357).

Question Hour

Questions relating to Primary & Secondary Health Department were asked and Khawaja Imran Nazeer, Minister for Primary & Secondary Health answered the questions.

Adjournment Motion

The Adjournment Motion moved by Dr. Murad Rass regarding increase in the prices of medicines up to 4.16 percent without evaluating previous prices by the Drug Regularity Authority of Pakistan and record of registration of 65,000 medicines has been lost by the authority for being not available on the website and only record of 20,000 medicines is available there, was kept pending till next week.

Resolutions

1.         The resolution moved by Mr. Ahmed Khan Bhacher to construct new water reservoirs to improve agriculture sector and produce hydel energy, was not passed by the House.

2.         The resolution moved by Ms. Hina Pervaiz Butt demanding to ensure ban on milk boosting injections and called for strict immediate action against milk-sellers for injecting prohibited injections to all milk producing animals especially buffaloes, cows, camels and goats to increase their milk production, was unanimously passed by the House as amended.

3.         The resolution moved by Mr. Ramesh Singh Arora demanding the Federal Government to extend the period of validity of official/diplomatic passports issued to the Members of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab to lifetime on the pattern of National Assembly, was unanimously passed by the House as amended.

4.         The resolution moved by Miss Fareeha Fatima demanding to merge Fire Brigade service into Rescue 1122, was withdrawn by the mover on being told by the Minister that the matter was subjudice.

5.         The resolution moved by Mian Mehmood ur Rashid demanding the Federal and the Provincial Governments to withdraw the recent increase in the prices of the drugs, was kept pending.

Zero Hour

The Motion moved by Ms.‏ Faiza Ahmad Malik regarding protest and sit in being observed by School Health and Nutrition supervisors at Charing Cross Mall Road Lahore for not regularizing them, despite the fact that they have been working as such for more than ten years. Moreover, employees appointed in Health Department in grade 1 to 19 after their inductions have been regularized, was answered by the concerned parliamentary secretary and was disposed of.

The House was then adjourned at 12:43 p.m. to meet on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 09:00 a.m.
