Question Hour:
Questions relating to Housing & Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department were asked and answered by Mr Ijaz Hussain Farhat, Parliamentary Secretary for Housing & Urban Development and Public Health Engineering.
 
Privilege Motions:
(a)               The Privilege Motion moved by Lala Shakil-ur-Rehman, MPA, regarding disgraceful behaviour of D.S.P., City Gujranwala was referred to the Privilege Committee for report.
 
(b)               The Privilege Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas, MPA, regarding failure of the Government in laying of annual reports of Islamic Ideology Council for the years 2003 and 2004 in the House, was replied to by Mr Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and was disposed being not pressed by the mover.
 
(c)               Privilege Motions of Mr Rafi-ud-Din Bokhari and Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad were pended till 18 and 16 November 2005 respectively. Privilege Motion of Rai Farooq regarding disgraceful behaviour of D.S.P. Okara was kept pending till next session.
 
(d)               Privilege Motions of Mr Waris Kalu regarding non-cooperative behavior of D.P.O., Khushab and Babu Nafees Ansari regarding disgraceful behaviour of Ms. Shahida, D.S.P., Multan, were pended till 18 November 2005.
 
At this stage Rai Ijaz Ahmad, MPA, at Sr.No.1 of the panel of Chairmen, assumed the Chair.
Adjournment Motions:
a)     16 adjournment motions by different MPAs were called and kept pending.
b)     Adjournment motions moved by Mr Muhammad Waqas regarding escape of prisoners from Police custody in District Courts, Rawalpindi, and Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser were disposed of.

(a)               Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, MPA, moved for leave to introduce the University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi (Amendment) Bill 2004 (Bill No.12 of 2004. On the request of Minister for Agriculture, the Bill was kept pending till next session.
 
(b)               The motion for leave to introduce the Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2005 (Bill No.25 of 2005) moved by Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, MPA, was lost.  
 
Resolutions:
 
(a)                                       The House unanimously adopted the following resolution moved by Ms Misbah Kokab, MPA:-
 
 
(b)                                       Regarding the resolution moved by Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, MPA, for withdrawal of state duty on withdrawal of an amount in excess of Rs.25,000/- from the scheduled banks by cheque, it was ruled by the Chair that the Finance Minister may bring in a joint resolution on the subject.
(c)                                       The following resolution moved by Mr Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, MPA, was adopted unanimously:-

(e)                                       Dr Syed Wasim Akhtar’s resolution regarding amendment in Jail Manual to facilitate the meeting of the prisoners with their wives after every three months, was kept pending till next Private Members’ Day, on the request o the Minister.
