1.   THE SOCIETIES REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2006 (II OF 2006)

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Societies Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 2006.

 

 

2.   THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 2006 (III OF 2006)

 

 

            A MINISTER to lay the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance 2006.

 

 

3.   THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL PUNJAB (AMENDMENT) BILL 2005 (Bill No.15 of 2005)

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill 2005, as recommended by Standing Committee on Education, be taken into consideration at once.

 

 

            A MINISTER to move that the University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Bill be passed.

Summary of Proceedings

SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 2006

 

 

Sardar Shaukat Hussain Mazari, Deputy Speaker, assumed the chair and proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

QUESTION HOUR:-

Questions relating to Revenue and Colonies (Board of Revenue) Department were asked and answered by Mr. Manazir Hussain Ranjha, Minister for Colonies.

PRIVILEGE MOTIONS:-

Total five number of Privilege Motions were taken up. Out of which 3 were kept pending, while one was not moved due to absence of the mover, hence disposed of.

The Privilege Motion moved by Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas regarding non presentation of annual report for the year 2004 of the Office of Provincial Ombudsman was answered by the Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and disposed of.

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS:-

Total 8 number of Adjournment Motions were taken up. Out of which 4 were replied and disposed of.  While 4 were kept pending.

Adjournment Motion moved by Rana Sana Ullah Khan regarding regularization of doctors appointed on contract basis in Health Department under Punjab Government was answered by Mr. Tahir Ali Javed, Minister for Health and disposed of, with the direction by the chair that the Standing Committee on Health should look into the matter and consider the proposals suggested by the movers.

Haji Muhammad Ijaz and Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser moved adjournment motion in which it was pointed out that Police and Civil Defence officials were apprehending owners by illegally raiding their LPG Sale Points. The motion was replied by the concerned Minister and disposed of.

In another Adjournment Motion moved by Haji Muhammad Ijaz and Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser regarding illegal possession of land worth millions of Rupees by some influential people in Tehsil Murree, was replied by Mr.  Muhammad Basharat Raja, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and disposed of.

In another Adjournment Motion moved by Haji Muhammad Ijaz and Malik Asghar Ali Qaiser regarding drawing of illegal parking fee by general public with the connivance of LDA staff was referred to LDA for answer.

After Prayer break at 2:00 p.m. Rai Ijaz Ahmad MPA assumed the chair.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS:-

 Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Muhammad Basharat Raja laid “The Societies Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 2006 (II of 2006), which was referred to Standing Committee for Industries for report by 15 April, 2006.

However at this stage the sitting was suspended for lack of quorum and then the House was adjourned till 10.00 am on Thursday, 9 March 2006.
